Elgin Symphony Orchestra's Guest Lecturer Nina Bernstein

In partnership with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra’s American Icon Series
Nina Bernstein will recount tales of her father's vibrant professional and endearing family life. Told through the eyes of someone who knew him best, this documentary and discussion are not to be missed! Nina Bernstein will be at the library to introduce this documentary.

YouTube's Symphony Orchestra

Professional and amateur musicians from around the world auditioned for YouTube's first symphony orchestra. The audition tapes were judged by professional musicians from some of the most renowned orchestras from around the world.

The orchestra will be preforming a piece written by Chinese composer Tan Dun in Carnegie Hall tonight, April 15th, 2009. If you can't get to Carnegie Hall for the performance you can still listen to a Global Mashup of the Internet Symphony.
