45th anniversary of the Sound of Music
Today is the 45th anniversary for the premiere of the Sound of Music. Celebrate by watching the movie or listening to the incredible soundtrack.
If you haven't seen this film, if that's possible, Julie Andrews lights up the screen as Maria, the spirited young woman who leaves the convent to become a governess to the seven young children of Captain von Trapp, an autocratic widower whose strict household rules leave no room for music or merriment.
