Staring Gabourey Sidibe, nominated for the Academy Awards' Best Actress, and Mo'Nique, who won for Best Supporting Actress, this is the story of a 16-year-old African American girl who is pregnant for the second time by her father. Yet as bleak as her life may seem, this film is not a downer, for Precious' life is changed when she joins a special school.
