As a favor to her actress sister Abigail (Gloria Dehaven), New England farmer Jane Falbury (Judy Garland) allows a theatrical troupe led by director Joe Ross (Gene Kelly) to use her barn as a theater for their play. Garland’s biggest number is the vibrant, "Get Happy." Gene Kelly and Phil Silvers team up for the frantic "Dig-Dig-Dig for Your Dinner." With Eddie Breacken and Marjorie Main.
